Ard Bia Petite Hotels Launched
Ard Bia has just launched its latest venture: what will hopefully become a distinct collection of boutique accomodations for weekend getaways or extended vacations. Two properties are currently on offer. The first is a 3 bed apartment in the heart of Berlin city and the second is a small lodging on the shores of Lough Carra, Co. Mayo. Star styling comes to Ard Bia
Star Styling is a Berlin based fashion label with a reputation for clothes that embody love and hate,color and sex,consumption and self-awareness,spirit and suspicion. And they're bringing their SS'09 collection to Ard Bia exclusively in Ireland. Expect pure linens, organic and non-organic cottons, short fringes, light and delicate blouses, shorts, dresses, rough and rugged jackets, folkloric textures and accessoires, mystical symbols and graphic patterns made of bright transfer foils and glitter prints. A Unique Lebanese Dining Experience
This is a dining experience not to be missed this year. Ard Bia, in cooperation with Kamal Mouzawak, will be hosting a very special evening at the restaurant on August 14th at 7.30pm. An evening of delicious Lebonese food and wine.
Kamal Mouzawak is a food and travel writer, and founder of Souk el Tayeb, Lebanon's first farmers market, recently acclaimed by the New York Times as a "gastro-political awakening".
The intention is to take fresh local Irish ingredients and use them to make a delicious Lebanese meal for all in attendance.

Shake Your Money Maker!
Never the type of people to shy away from a shin dig, the Ard Bia crew have lined u some awesome club nights for the coming weeks. The month of May is being framed by a Mr. Whippy gig on the 2nd and a gay friendly (-er than usual) night on the 30th. We'll also be hosting our usual once a month Friday night specials in April so keep your ears close to the ground and your eyes peeled for that.

Steiner Kindergarten Classes Are Here
Ard Bia is proud to announce the opening of a Steiner kindergarten upstairs in Ard Bia. Classes take place Wednesdays to Fridays at 10am. The Steiner ethic is to educate the whole child: head, heart and

Weekday Specials at the Restaurant

Breastfeeding Mornings at Ard Bia
Breastfeeding mornings are to be held in the cafe every Wednesday from 12pm - 3pm. New and experienced mothers are encouraged to come and socialise with other mums, providing support and confidence to each other. New Exhibitios at Nimmos
Eimearjean Mc Cormack, Clare Keogh and Gary Coyle are the latest artists who will be exhibiting their work in the restaurant in the coming months.
Eimearjean is first. She's exhibiting until May 20th but her pieces are selling quickly. Come down to the cafe and check out some of this talented artists latest works.

Apply Within: Experience Essential is a series of semi-improvised temporal interventions executed within the context of an active restaurant. Participating artists will respond to the site in a variety of media throughout the first week of the Galway Arts Festival.

Volvo Ocean Race Exhibition
An exhibition by Jean Purtill; this work is inspired by the extraordinary challenges and achievements
of the participants in the Volvo Ocean Race. Their unique experiences have been widely communicated through the media of print, radio, e-mails and the internet. Jean wanted to reflect one small portion of these experiences by
incorporating and depicting fragments of their communications in my paintings.
The exhibition will be on display at Nimmos for the duration of the Volvo Ocean Race. |
