‘The world is over there’ is the title of a show of new works by Thomas Brezing, opening in Ard Bia Gallery, Galway in January 2005. Thomas Brezing is a German artist living in Co. Dublin. His paintings are almost naïve in style overlaid with distinctive winterish tones. They are best described as ‘stories with a narrative, but also open stories, for the viewer to interpret’ (TB).

His work translates effectively from ambitious large scale canvases to more intimate studies.
Brezing had his first solo show in the Basement Gallery, Dundalk in 2001. His recent solo show in the Ashford Gallery, RHA, Dublin was met with critical acclaim. ‘The world is over there’ will be his seventh solo show. 2005 has also seen Thomas involved in group exhibitions in the Temple Bar Gallery, Dublin and abroad with Galerie Bugdahn und Kaimer in Dusseldorf, Germany.
