Biography
---
Born in 1971.l
Lives and works in Tokyo.
Studied bookbinding, photography, experimental film at San Francisco Art Institute.

I was inspired by old Japanese myth.
I try to connect finding scene like the Japanese myth in the living of people of the contemporary society in Japan. These works are located in the middle of the documentary and the fiction. The part of the fiction is a reality of the conversation with my unconsciousness.

When I meet the people who appear in my photography, I usually ask about their life and what they like and dislike and their character. After I talked with them, I could feel their part of personality and understanding, it feels like i stepped into their life. They are strangers, acquaintance and friends. Then, I contact with my unconsciousness and I set up the scene which is not far from their personality.

These works are my personal records of our life it's like Japanese myth in my mind.
